EA dodge LMNO staff rumours, won't confirm or deny the numbers

It has been suggested, rather heavily, that the top secret project known as LMNO has suffered huge redundancies as the team hemorrhages staff.

EA won't be pinned down though on an answer as they refuse to details on where this 6% cut to the overall workforce is actually hitting. Development "continues at EALA".

"Development of LMNO continues at EALA under the creative leadership of Doug Church (creative director) and Lou Castle (executive producer)," a rep email affirmed to VG247.

"EA announced yesterday that we are raking a cost reduction action that will impact roughly six percent of our workforce worldwide."

"It is never easy to see good colleagues leave the company. We take this very seriously and eliminating even one job is a tough decision."

Apparently though it is indeed true, LMNO has taken a large beating to its staff roster. As the secret project never had a release date we won't know how much of an impact this upheaval will have on the game.

LMNO is said to be an "ex-secret agent" game, meaning you'll be on the run for quite a bit - think 'Jason Bourne' in that regard I guess. It has also been revealed you'll have a "female, grown up and hot" accomplice who'll aid you along the way. Okay, now the game sounds cool.

"It is never easy to see good colleagues leave the company. We take this very seriously and eliminating even one job is a tough decision." Tears all around at the top I'll bet. This is serious news for those facing job loss, particularly at this time of the year. EA is not just hurting gamers this time (as is their want).

So they can't stop at hurting us but also start hurting the people who need the job.
