Hideo Kojima admits his planned Metal Gear Solid 5 demo for the Tokyo Game Show might have to end prematurely because of the 'unpredictable AI' causing problems for those showcasing it.
If the enemy 'find him' during the presentation it "may not be possible to complete" the walkthrough demo, which he describes as "100% more difficult." It's not their booth.
"If you’re going to see the demo at the stage event, I may have to stop because of errors," Kojima-san tweeted. I'm sure no one would eagerly await a total screw up? Nah.
"The demo for the stage event is 100% more difficult," Kojima continued. "The behavior of the enemy is different every time, I can’t help it because I cannot predict it. If I’m found out while playing it may not be possible to complete the presentation as planned." Let's all hope for a 'TGS 2013 difficulty' setting.
"If it was our own booth, extending the time would be possible on a case-by-case basis, but this time it’s not," he said.
The Tokyo Game Show runs September 19-22 with the last two days on the weekend open to the public.
