Although you might be disappointed to hear that Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will be released later on the PC than the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Ubisoft explains that the reason behind this is due to the next-gen features the PC version includes.

Ubisoft's Montreal Community Developer, Gabriel Graziani, has confirmed that the PC release will need more time for development as it has a “comparable level of quality” to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

"Since PC is capable of delivering a comparable level of quality, we have to put the same amount of work into it." said Graziani on Twitter.

There's been no word on a PC release date yet from Ubisoft, but we expect to hear more about that soon.

"comparable" ? I think you mean superior.

Comparable :).

Why do they even bother with such PR, I guess they can't admit that the new consoles have already been bested before even being released :).

They have to look the sort when their new investors comes knocking on the door and have to work up some enthusiasm for the new systems :)

Or, if you take the other route - they can't be bothered to make it more than comparable to next gen for PC...

And so they bloody should. PC Special Editions and all that nonsense.
