Former developers from LucasArts have formed a new studio, SeaCliff Interactive, and have also announced a new game, Super Roman Conquest. The game, which the developer describes as a cross between side-scrolling action game and real-time strategy, is now on Kickstarter.
Players will control both an entire legion and individuals within the legion as well. "Each unit can be ordered individually, or you can select multiple units and issue squad orders. Give specific movement orders to your troops, send them to attack or fire arrows, and utilize special abilities," notes the studio, "Engineers can construct helpful tools, Doctors can heal, and more."
Roman soldier classes include the Auxilia, Archer, Centurion and Engineer, while Gallic barbarians feature the Warrior, Archer and Brute. Those are only the current units - the developer also promises more units like Legionnaires, Cavalry, Spearmen, Doctors, Siege Weapons, Chariots and Elephants.
Players will also be able to upgrade their units and pick battles from a dynamic world map.
