There's been a distinct lack of bloody guts all over our battlefields in Total War: Rome II, but Creative Assembly has addressed this issue with the newly released Blood & Gore DLC just in time for Halloween.
All new options are added turning blood on and off, and there are plenty of "decapitations, dismemberment" and impaling animations. Now you can carve a 'red carpet' to Rome.
"Employing a more refined particle system than Shogun 2, Blood & Gore for ROME II looks and feels grittier and more brutal," says the SEGA press release.
"Blood & Gore brings the savagery of front-line combat to viscera-splattering life with decapitations, dismemberment and devastating impalements. Featuring hundreds of gruesome animations that play out in combat between multiple different unit types, the massed battles of Total War: ROME II will never be the same again."
Blood & Gore is available now for £1.99 / $2.99.
