Call of Duty: Ghosts "requires" 6GB RAM, only uses 2GB
Posted: 04.11.2013 23:19 by Comments: 13
Users who have gotten copies of the PC version of Call of Duty: Ghosts have found that while the game refuses to run on systems with less than 6GB of RAM, the game uses less than 2GB of RAM, even with all settings on high.

It may be that the extra RAM required is hidden by a file buffer that isn't reported by the Task Manager.

For those gamers who suffer motion sickness from first person shooters, they'll be displeased to find out that the field of vision is locked at 65%.

Stay tuned for more info.

I thought the requirements were too high,i guess Acti couldn`t be bothered to optimize yet again and that`s why they requested such high specs.

FOV locked to 65% is the real bummer here, that's an atrocity for a "PC" game.

Frankly i am okay with that FOV,or at least my head doesn`t try to kill me to be more precise but yeah,a lot of people will have headaches with that.

It's more the FOV being locked that is so shameful, PC games are not supposed to have such options locked. It really makes the game appear to be just a lazy port, we're talking about a game that's gonna make billions and they can't even afford to give people a functional options menu :/.

All moot for me, cos they're asking $90 in Aus. I'm not paying that much for *any* game.

Yes but who needs CoD anyway? I can play BF4 for more then 20ish minutes before a crash or dc. That's quite good.

The gaming industry is really in the shit when it`s biggest selling titles don`t even work properly,CoD,BF and even GTA 5,they fixed much if that yes but it still has lots of problems.

To be fair, it's time consuming and expensive to really flesh out a beta test, unless you have a public beta.

The flip-side being that some of the recent offenders would have known full well they were shipping a dud.

I haven't seen any updates to BF4 since release and it crashed like 50 times in a couple of hours of play. Disappointed with these major PC releases recently. Quite disappointed. RTW2, pretty much not going to play it anymore. BF4 decided not to play it until they patch it up. CoD has issues, tho I most likely wont get it either. What is going on guys? Why are they doing this to us :(

Whops, correction: minus GTA x)

Addition: Went to check the latest server patch, still no go >BF4. Played 2 times, both times got a DC after 15ish minutes.
