Ubisoft announced this morning that Assassin's Creed on the PC will contain new content that isn't available to console users when it's released in March 2008.

Ubisoft have entitled this the Director's cut edition, and gamers will have access to four new types of investigations, providing additional ways for players to explore the various locations of the Third Crusade.

"We are thrilled to bring Assassin's Creed to an eager PC audience and we anticipate the game will resonate with them just has it has across the other platforms," said Tony Key, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ubisoft. "In addition, the development team was able to integrate exclusive content into this version of Assassin's Creed, making it an even better and unique experience for PC gamers."

I dunno...looks a little too close to the "Prince of Persia" franchise with oh so pretty graphics, and too much talky-talky, sneaky-sneaky. I prefer to leave the rooftops to Batman and get down dirty in the streets with my rifle of choice. Might wait for a big drop in price before considering it, but then "Tiberium" might be out by then.
