Another gem from the deep PC mine of yore has been spirited away as GOG.com adds Wing Commander: Armada to the shelves, completing the entire Wing Commander series. You know what this means?

It's 48 hour 50% discount sale time! Originally launching in 1990, Chris Roberts began his campaign of global domination through the medium of space simulators, starting with Wing Commander.

Today, the Cult of Roberts commands legions of 'Citizens' that have pledged collectively over $27 million to further his latest project: Star Citizen. It'll consume us all.

Until then why not enjoy Wing Commander from GOG.com, gloriously DRM-free and supporting today's PCs. All eight entries in the franchise with the 50% discount cost $23.92 until Saturday, November 23rd at 10.59AM GMT.

The entire series includes:

Wing Commander I+II (with expansions Wing Commander: The Secret Missions, Wing Commander: The Secret Missions 2: Crusade, Wing Commander II: Special Operations 1, Wing Commander II: Special Operations 2)
Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger
Wing Commander IV: The Price of Freedom
Wing Commander V: Prophecy Gold Edition (including Wing Commander: Secret Ops expansion)
Wing Commander: Academy
Wing Commander: Privateer (including Privateer: Righteous Fire expansion)

Mr. Chris Roberts has come a long way...
