|DayZ update tackles 'server hopping', adds weapons and emotes|

The standalone release of DayZ is still in alpha but Bohemia and Dean Hall are still splitting pixels on updates with the latest implementing a "penalty waiting time" for those switching servers quickly.
That's to crackdown on exploiting empty worlds for gear, and then returning 'home'. Clapping and Pointing gestures are in, and so are machetes and Svetlojarsk zombies.
The latest DayZ update is only available through opting into the experimental branch in your application settings through Steam, as it's not yet declared 'stable'.
The team expect this update to be made available to all alpha users by around February 7th. The 'pending changelog is available to read on the official DayZ website's .
