Namco Bandai has today confirmed that PC Dark Souls II will be releasing April 25th, as a Southeast Asia marketing promotion earlier revealed. It arrives first on consoles next week, March 14th.

The wait until April appears worth it as they boast "increased texture resolution" and enhanced frame rates, as well as work to "perfectly adapt" the RPG to mouse and keyboard.

It will arrive on desktops to brutally kill us over and over again this April 25th across Europe and Australasia. FromSoftware have us PC gamers in mind this time around.

“We’re conscious of the high expectations from PC gamers and are working with FROMSOFTWARE in ensuring that the PC version of Dark Souls II offers the best experience possible," said Mathieu PIAU, EMEA Marketing Director at NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe. “After an amazing first opus, DARK SOULS II promises an even more engaging, richer and challenging adventure that should please all gamers, regardless of their platform of choice.”

Dark Souls II releases on Xbox 360 and PS3 March 11th in the US, 14th in EU, and on PC April 25th.

Personally, my chief expectation is for it to be $5 on sale in a year or two. Certainly not paying $90 at release/preorder.
