We now have footage of the previously announced Kythera AI in motion as the latest 'Inside Cloud Imperium Games' segment visits Moon Collider, the creators of the future Skynet to rule us all.

We witness exactly why Cloud Imperium is so excited to have this dynamic AI working in Star Citizen, as they demonstrate NPCs adjusting to their surroundings on-the-fly.

Moon Collider is a new middleware company that's based in the UK, and they're chuffed to be working on Star Citizen, especially as one of their number coded CryEngine's AI.

Star Citizen is powered by CryEngine 3 and so what could be better than having one of its masterminds constructing an even better AI and then dropping it into the Star Citizen universe? This new Inside Cloud Imperium Games segment is over 8-and-a-half minutes long with plenty of teasing shots of Kythera in action.

Last week Star Citizen broke a new record with $40 million in crowd-funding.

I very much applaud any sort of approach to AI coding that isn't the same old thing.

Absolutely agree, this is just another sign on how Star Citizen developers are going above and beyond in everything they do.
There have been other games that made me upgrade my PC before but SC release day is probably gonna be more than just a bit expensive :P.

Always hope for an advanced AI in games, although when games get closer to release, AIs get a bit toned down. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Bethesda had a thrilling video on its Oblivion AI once, and really was thought of remarkably, but at the end, had to be watered down due to computer power at the time. On the other hand, 40 mil should do the trick to make this one live and kicking :)

Considering how they're pushing the graphics I don't see them skimping on other areas either :).
