Half-Life 2 and Dishonored's Viktor Antonov brings us a new warped world with BattleCry, which Bethesda announce as a free-to-play multilayer action game supporting 32 players between two teams.

The Royal Marines and the Cossacks do battle in sanctioned WarZones, with unlockable ranks granting new abilities and increasing loadouts of these elite warriors.

In the world of BattleCry, gun powder has been banned following a cataclysmic world war at the beginning of the 20th century, so now battles are decided by elite teams in WarZones.

"The BattleCry team is happy to unveil the game that bears our studio’s name," said Rich Vogel, president and executive producer at BattleCry Studios. "We have been hard at work to create a fresh experience for gamers that brings together multiplayer action with visually stunning combat and are excited to share details about the game and have people play BattleCry in Bethesda’s booth at E3.” While it may be playable at E3, the beta doesn't start until 2015.

It's the "visceral brutality, striking art direction and competitive multiplayer" that amplifies the team-based combat in BattleCry, says Bethesda. The free-to-play shooter is in development at BattleCry Studios for PC.

A website for BattleCry has launched detailing the warrior classes, the two factions and teasing in-game images.
