LucasArts "absolutely committed" to the Indiana Jones videogame

Despite nothing coming from LucasArts on the project since 2006, they are adamant to let fans know it's still in the works.

The game will feature DMM and Euphoria technology much like the recent Star Wars: The Force Unleashed title. The publisher promises that more "details are forthcoming."

"LucasArts remains absolutely committed to the Indiana Jones franchise," a company rep tells PSU. "While we are aware that fans have been eagerly awaiting additional information on the upcoming game, they can rest assured that details are forthcoming."

There's no official title for the game yet beyond 'Indiana Jones' and still no hint for a release date though sometime in 2009 is expected. The game is slated for release on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Nice! as long as they don't make it in LEGO! :)
They're using same technology on the Force Unleashed? That's cool!

I remember the old Indy games by Lucasarts, and they were great. I hope they can resurrect the series, but I'm highly doubtful. Careful Nobu, the Legos monster will come to you in your sleep...

Maybe Darth-vader has an appearence in the game, and help indy out in some rock hunt.
Naw I'm just kidding, that would be dreadful, and how long as this game been said to launch? Since the beggining of Ps3 i think. Back when they previewed some Screeshots of Indy fighting Nexto to a ferry, kindah like the one up there.

Hehehe.... no Lego monster in my sleep....just Megabloks!
Anyway, maybe this game is worth to wait. Indiana Jones is like 'male Lara Croft', so i just say that the game will looks like Tomb Raider....maybe!

What? Indiana Jones is going to explore caves with tiny trousers and a top? With dual pistols? I don't know if i'd buy that personally. XD Indy Croft sounds quite the name doesn't it?
But yeah nobuargaoda, i think the game will have it's own style and although similar to Tomb Raider, the unique storyline will make it perfect.

The gameplay, of course! Not the character! Funny, eh? :)
The storyline is a plus for all Tomb Raider games, and in the movie, Indiana Jones has a similar adventure like Lara Croft, with puzzle and shooting badguys! But the movie of Indy is a notable one, then the game should be a notable one too.... It will be great!

You're right on that nobuargaoda, if they produce the game accordingly to the movies, they will benefit for more from it and we all get happy. Perhaps the game will also feature some of the dungeons like tomb raider, undewater, underground, heck even in the big mountains! I sure hope so, because in that way we have a bigger game that we can all enjoy.

I'm sure that they will include dungeon adventure or something like that! It's a trademark on such games!

Perhaps we can have Indy 1 revisited and try to escape death as 10 ton Boulder is coming right at us.

Lara Croft borrowed heavily from Raiders of the Lost Ark, and judging by the cars in the pic, this will be set in WWII again, or perhaps just prior to it. A prequel I'd guess.
