Epic Games working on Gears of War 3 already? "Total nonsense"

Rumours from US mag EGM that the developer is already hip deep in GoW3 are "total nonsense" says Epic's VP Mark Rein.

EGM claim it'll star a "five player co-op experience" and be ready for Christmas 2010. Rein refutes the notion explaining that they're still improving Gears of War 2 at the moment.

Of course a Gears 3 is likely an inevitable outcome given the great reception of the franchise so far. "We're still working on improvements to Gears 2," Rein tells Eurogamer.

The rumour from EGM, as reported by CVG, is rubbish and unfounded the VP claims.

I believe that is one denouncement I will agree with. They've put so much into GoW2, and has such a strong following, why leave it hanging to now work on a third? Makes no sense.

Its a lie, it can only be. I mean, they're just saying that for people to know that there will be indeed a 3rd game, and want people to be waiting for it for a long time. You know the drill, PR advertisement always do that.

Maybe the only true thing about Gears 3 is that they must have already is a storyline made up. So that they do not rush one at the moment on top of the knee.

It's 'just' 3 more years! I can spend my Senior High School time just for waiting GoW! Whatever, there are many great games out there, so we can play them while we waiting for the GoW!
