Paradox Development Studio has finished development on the latest expansion for Europa Universalis IV, Res Publica. It's available from today for Windows, Mac and Linux at $4.99.

Res Publica is the Latin phrase for "Public Affairs", if you needed to know? In this expansion you can manipulate the factions of Merchant Republics, create new trade posts and reap bonuses, take control of the new Republican Dictatorship government type, back your heirs in Elective Monarchies and more...

Here's a few highlighted points that Paradox sent over to us:

* A Republic If You Can Keep It: Manipulate the factions of Merchant Republics, create new trade posts and reap bonuses. You can also exploit the inner power struggles of the Dutch Republic and their unique election events

* Meet the New Boss:Try the all-new Republican Dictatorship government type, and decide between increases in national power or Republic Tradition through newin-game opportunities and events

* Don’t Fight the Power:Retain power for the ruling family by backing your heirs in Elective Monarchies; boost your growth with the National Focus bonus and spend your points on Administrative, Diplomatic, or Military Power

We bet you've been waiting for this one haven't you? Grab it here for $4.99.

Already started a game with a buddy who's playing Venice. I picked the Mamluks just to annoy him :P

Tempted now that it's on special on GMG and GG, but I'll wait for the Collector's Edition/bundle as I did with III. For some reason I've never taken to CK or EU, even though I have them in my library. I think I might be more into the tactical than the grand strategy, aside from TW.
Still, a great way to stave off Alzheimer's:)

Much micro management?
Got some of the games in my Steam-lib but have not yet tried them out.

There is no such thing as micro, the smallest thing you do is move an army of thousands to a different province :P

PLenty of things to fiddle with to optimise things if oyu're into that though
