The Imagina 2008 3D Technology Conference was held and Cevat Yerli, co-founder, president and CEO of Crytek, was the guest speaker. He talked about the Crysis Franchice, Far Cry movie, Crysis movie, and the CryEngine 2.

Crytek is working on presenting the CryEngine 2 Cross-Platform at the Game Developer's Conferrence.

"With GDC we will start looking into a multi-platform offering of CryEngine 2, which was the biggest demand so far and the single biggest difference between us and the competition. With CryEngine 2 now running on multi-platform, we offer the most complete 3D engine qualitatively and productively."

A Far Cry Movie is in the horizon, and Uwe Boll will be the director. There isn't much out about the the Movie, but it should hit theaters around 2009.

Not only will we get a Far Cry movie, but a Crysis movie also.

"A Crysis movie is definitely planned, and we are already in active talks regarding this", Cevat said.

Average rating that its director got with other movies goes around terrible. So what should we expect from it...

He's starting to get a bit better, though nowhere near Rob Zombie yet. Still, he's better than Uli Lommel (then again, so's my 6 month old nephew given a video-cam). All these games movies or CGI movies based on game franchises ("Resident Evil Extinction") plus the new Graphics Movie-based-on-Graphic Novels show a very real turn around in the movie industry.

Yeah it's good, but very, very CPU and GPU hungry. "Far Cry 2" will show it off a lot better than "Crysis" as there will be more open areas (such as desert) to view and interract with.
