BioWare forging a new KOTOR destiny that isn't an MMO?

During one of EA's analysis reports they have let slip that BioWare, who was recently acquired by the publishing giant, is working on a number of projects including a KOTOR title. They also mentioned they're working on a MMO project which would mean that the long rumoured KOTOR MMORPG is never going to see the light of day, much to the greater joy of fans. It would be a stand-alone RPG like the two previous in the franchise.

There's no rumblings yet though on platforms but it would mostly likely hit a next-gen console before the PC if history is any indicator. A New Hope that the BioWare Empire Strikes Back and we see the Return of the Jedi knights of the old republic.

Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords were both released on Xbox first and then later ported to PC. Both were held to critical acclaim and have popularised a time frame in the Star Wars universe 4000 years before the events of the movies.
