PC Patch coming for F.E.A.R 2 soon

Monolith Productions has revealed that it's working on a patch for the PC version of F.E.A.R 2, which they hope to release in the coming weeks. The patch aims to make the "hard" setting more challenging, adding the option to toggle film grain and head bob, and several other small fixes.

"We are currently working on a patch for the PC version of F.E.A.R.2 that we hope to release in the coming weeks. In this patch we are modifying game difficulty to make the "hard" setting more challenging, adding the option to toggle film grain and head bob, and several other small fixes." said F.E.A.R 2's community manager.

“There are a couple other items we are also exploring which might make it into this patch, but we need to do research to evaluate the time and resources that it will take to add these changes to the patch.”

It hasn't been confirmed if this patch will come to the Xbox 360 and PS3, although we have contacted Monolith for comment.

If you haven't played the original, then this IS good news. Sadly though, this was always meant to be a console version of the original, for those who haven't had the pleasure of FEAR (1). And when will parents learn cut their daughters' hair. That long, black look is so Emo.

Hmm. I play with this game about 3 days, and i don't found any "great" bug in the game. Only problem. You die easely :D

hero: Is it very consolly on the PC??
I have only read that it didn't got high scores on many PC magazines so I have stayed away from it waiting for a demo and heads up on DRM/CP...

Hell! I didn't get the game yet, and there is a patch out! Fast.

Liked the original, and the second expansion, and the MP version as well. I have a feeling that this wont disappoint me... We'll see.

playing the demo i seem to remember having a few troubles mapping keys on my keyboard, but other than that it didn't seem like a console game. maybe a little on the easy side.

It looked alright.

Just change the .ini file in the game folder. Or reprogram the keys on your keyboard to make the PC recognize it as a gamepad. That should work. Or just buy the Games for Windows controller (aka. Xbox360 controller, or GfW certified one). I hate to say this because I don't like playing FPS games on a gamepad.
