UK study says "active gameplay" healthy, could help trim the fat

Nottingham Trent University studied between games that require "no real physical movement", and "interactive multimedia videogames".

They found energy use can be pumped up "approximately 42%" during "active gameplay" like that in Wii Sports. Kids who played 60 mins every day for a year could burn around "7.5lbs of body fat."

Fifteen children were in the study sample, and played the more "traditional" videogame and those requiring lots of physical interaction (Wii Sports, Sony's EyeToy games). Gaming could form part of your "recommended physical activity".

"The resulting data highlighted that, during active gameplay, energy expenditure can be increased by approximately 42% above the levels measured during the more traditional gameplay sessions," notes the report.

"Conclusions based on these studies suggested that if children engaged in active play for 60 minutes every day over a year, they would burn approximately 7.5lbs of body fat." In your face non-interactive television and film mediums.

Easy. I Fence and play basketball, as well as work and game. No problem. This is more for guys who can't tear themselves away from their console for more than an hour (and eat copious amounts of fast food).

Well as long as you stay faithful and don't cheat on her, Ctawl then you'll be fine. Nothing worse than a console-breakup...except a PC crash!

This is only for people who have too muc mass to move around (Excuse me) and who are lazy. I workout everyday, play soccer, cricket, table tennis and participate in track and field.
