The brand new Battle.net has finally launched with it granting access to all Blizzard games through a single account for users.

Your World of Warcraft and Battle.net accounts can now merge, but only for North American ones for now. It's streamlined to link all things Blizzard together in a single technological terror.

"As part of our ongoing improvements to Battle.net, we are introducing a centralized account system that will let players manage all of their Blizzard Entertainment games, including World of Warcraft and future games, in one place without having to remember multiple sets of login information," blurbs the official Battle.net FAQ.

"Battle.net Accounts are an evolution of the existing Blizzard Accounts. If you already use a Blizzard Account, you do not need to create a new Battle.net Account -- the Blizzard Account has been automatically converted, and people with existing Blizzard Accounts have received an email containing more information."

Click here to visit the official Battle.net site, surrender to its Blizz awesomeness.

I get the feeling that SC II and Diablo III might be preparing for launch. Those Blizzard guys sure like to tease. But on it's own, this is a good move and will make accessing the sometimes awkward account system.
