Crystal Dynamics have had 25 staffers let go in San Francisco, which is all in step with Eidos' "continued drive" to squeeze out better efficiency.
In a case of 'does my studio make me look fat?' - Eidos told Lady Croft yes it does, lose 25. The US-based team had already knocked its roster down in January, after Underworld undersold.
"We can confirm that Crystal Dynamics has made a reduction of approximately 25 people at the San Francisco studio," Eidos confirmed to .
"This decision is a reflection of the continued drive to focus resources at the studio. We would like to thank all of the employees affected by this difficult decision for their hard work during their time at Crystal and we wish them all the best in the future."
The Crystal Dynamics team have done wonders to revive the franchise but it seems something else is needed to help get Lady Croft back on the walls of teen boys en masse.
