Eidos has in fact already confirmed a Kane & Lynch 2 game is "in production," two years ago actually. It's a "franchise for adults" that has potential they said.

The trademark was filed this month so we're a step closer to having the lid officially blown off by guns, mercenary stares and naughty swears. Good times for 'adults'; tweens can shove it.

"We've already got Kane & Lynch 2 in production, which just goes to show the belief we have in it as a long-term franchise," Eidos' Jane Cavanagh told MCV, back in 2007.

"We believe it has the potential to be a franchise for adults that is respected and loved in the same way as Hitman." Kane & Lynch had a bank robbery, skyscraper assault, a night club 'incident' and some coup d'état - all mixed in with guns, some squad control and cussing!
