The WWII dogfighter Heroes Over Europe, which sees our heroic flyboys do battle in the skies, is coming to PC a bit later that on console but will see release this month.

Console versions fire up those rotors next week, but PC will remain grounded. Heroes Over Europe very nearly crashed and burned, but Ubisoft saved the day from Atari pulling out.

Developer Transmission Games was to have their sky bound action co-published by Red Mile Entertainment and Atari but Red Mile fell apart and Atari got cold feet. Publisher Ubisoft obviously noted something was there and so rescued the developer and their game.

Heroes Over Europe is being released on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this month. Check out the trailer below for some of the planes you could be wrecking in the name of peace!
