From the creators of Warcraft III mod Defence of The Ancients, League of Legends is a free-to-play RTS/RPG hybrid strategy game that's just fired up its open beta phase to fans.
It's billed as a highly competitive multiplayer romp, which is no surprise given the enormous success of the DoTA mod for Blizzard's classic Warcraft III. Open beta runs for a week only. League of Legends "pre-season" begins October 30th, but those with an open beta account can continue to use it after the period has ended thanks to it being free-to-play. Ultimately the game will operate in seasons with the pre-season as a warm-up period for gamers to get to grips with how everything works. The first full season begins early next year. Why not sign-up for the League of Legends open beta? Go on... and check out the trailer. Source: Eurogamer | |
