Ubisoft to reveal new Prince of Persia early next year, says report

From a trailer preview event for the Prince of Persia flick, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, it's been said that Ubisoft will announce a new new game "in the spring," by the movie team.

They wouldn't elaborate past dropping that juicy tease of an announcement, saying it's "not their place" to spill details on the videogame project.

“Our last bit of news is a juicy one: Ubisoft will be announcing a new Prince of Persia game in the spring, according to the team, but it's not their place to give out any details,” reports Neoseeker.

Well, expect some fresh Prince of Persia news in early 2010 if the Hollywood types aren’t yanking our chain. The last instalment was met with mixed feelings among avid fans, so where will Ubi go with it?

I hope it's not in the same style as the last one. The Sands of Time games were way better.

I got half way through the first one, and got bored since it became apparent it was basically impossible to die, and all I was doing was collecting those glowing orbs... which quite frankly got very annoying sometimes.

Haven't touched the game in like 6 months now, doubt I will ever bother finishing it. I have to admit though, I did very much enjoy the mechanics of the game at first, but yea, story and such really didn't keep me interested.
