Ubisoft executive Alain Martinez has been talking about what we can expect to see from the Assassin's Creed series in 2010 during a conference call with investors.

Martinez said in reply to the subject; "There might be something around Assassin's Creed, and you mentioned that there will be a movie of Prince of Persia." There's the PC version of Assassin's Creed 2 in early 2010, but that's all we know about.

We could see DLC, a full sequel or new Assassin's Creed games for other platforms like the Wii or PSP. Perhaps a film for Assassin's Creed will be announced? We couldn't help but feel a movie for Assassin's Creed might be more enjoyable after watching the new Prince of Persia trailer.

Assassin's Creed 2 launches on November 20th for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, with pre-orders already up 80 per cent compared to the first Assassin's Creed game, so sales are expected to be much better for the sequel.

Richard recently went to Ubisoft's Montreal Studio to see Assassin's Creed 2, check out his preview here.

Overall, I thought the trailer was fairly interesting, and I'll definately see the movie when released.

On the topic of AC, to be honest.. I'd be surpised if they DIDN'T bring out a movie eventually. Whether it is announced next year or not though, remains to be seen.

I don't know about the Prince of Persia movie, we'll have to wait and see.

Jake Gyllenhaal was good in Donnie Darko, but I don't know if this is the right role for him. We'll have to see, I'm going to see it, I just don't know if I'll enjoy it.
