Masahiro Taguchi, the games technical director, has blogged that players waiting for Team Battles to be setup can duke it out arcade style.

It's to do with the Fight Request system, and when everything is set and the real fights begin only two players can mess one another up.

An 'Endless Battle' option is open to which just lets players beat the living daylights out of one another non-stop, which is perfect for practice matches and learning your opponents moves. Capcom have also obeyed wishes and kept character selection a secret.

"During the team based fights, only two players actually fight, but all remaining six can watch the fight and take part in voice chat," reports Andriasang, who translated.

"Taguchi assured that the quality of the combat has not suffered from the extra burden of having to show the fight to multiple players. This required some engineering feats, he said."

Super Street Fighter IV is being released on Xbox 360 and PS3 in Q1 2010.
