Final two BioWare Star Wars classes are Jedi and Sith, but ranged

The last two character class reveals for Star Wars The Old Republic are the Jedi Consular and Sith Inquisitor, which focus on ranged abilities.

The Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior are more melee orientated, and "balanced well" against the ranged, revealed LucasArts' Jake Neri.

"At the forefront of this we know there is a hearty passion for Jedi vs. Sith and that just seems to be a religion in a way. People are lining up “I’m gonna be Jedi, I hate Sith!” or “I’m gonna be Sith, I hate Jedi!” and so that maybe informed the decision a bit," said Neri.

"We really wanted to have the opportunity to challenge ourselves to do force classes that also had lightsabers and were effective somewhat with both. It was a natural thing," he continued, reports Darth Hater. "And at the end of the day, these just made the most sense. We’re looking at having a round group of classes."

The full class list for SWTOR is Imperial Agent, Trooper, Smuggler, Jedi Knight, Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior - with Jedi Consular and Sith Inquisitor making it eight in total. When the MMO from BioWare will launch is yet to be decided, but beta signups are still open.

"We thought as core classes the Consular and the Inquisitor made the most sense. We thought they balanced well against the other two," he added.

"You can think of the Jedi Knight and the Sith Warrior as more of a melee-style Jedi, and the other two maybe more of the ranged-style Jedi. I think it made a lot of sense."

Think I might get "SW The Force Unleashed - Sith Edition" when it comes out instead. Much prefer to play my SW offline.
