EA landed a hit with horror newcomer Dead Space, so number 2 is well on its way. Luckily for us the juicy details are starting to spill out.

Like how its set three years after the first, the new space station is called 'Sprawl', and that our alien carving engineer Isaac gets a voice.

According to a Game Informer magazine piece on Dead Space 2, our new space station Sprawl is an "organic, haphazardly constructed, long-term place thatís built around the remaining shards of one of Saturnís moon-The first planet-crack ever. Like any real city it is not all built by one person. Some stuff was built up, and some areas, corporate areas, government areas, and public areas," posts Rely On Horror.

There's space drifting, much "better pacing" with new bosses and huge odds to overcome, plus our engineering hero can speak. Also the multiplayer is "really fun, and youíll get to strategically dismember your friends, said the mag, but couldn't elaborate.

There's loads more from Rely On Horror's dissection of the mag's Dead Space 2 expose. Have you become a fan of EA Visceral Games' horror survivor, Dead Space?

I hope they do a good job with this game, many sequels don't live up to what the first game was. Hopefully they won't make this mistake with DS2.

The unsettling "newness" of the first's horror sequences will be gone, and weightless combat will not be anything new. I hope EA have other surprises in store, for just a new setting and story wn't cut it (vertically or horizontally).
