They plan for MotoGP's 2008 season to reach Xbox360, PS3, PC, Wii, PS2 and mobiles. It will also include the top manufacturers Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki along with some top riders.

Capcom now also control K2, the studio responsible for the Tenchu and Valhalla Knights games.

"K2 has a proven record as a reliable provider of game development services for Capcom," read a company statement.

"By making this company a wholly-owned subsidiary, Capcom plans to make its game development activities more efficient and speedy."

Capcom a year ago had already landed the PlayStation license for MotoGP - now the pressures on for them to solely deliver a motorbike racer carrying big names in brand and talent.

Moto GP looks to ne in capable hands, unlike other titles that have gone to EA. This is good news for throttle jockies everywhere, and Capcom look to be taking their new licence to develop the series seriously.
