Developer Spicy Horse and American McGee are looking for a publisher to sign up their not-so-PG 'Little Red Riding Hood' game, full of butchery.

They hope it's snapped up soon so they can "build it alongside or after" Alice 2, which EA will distribute. Studio to be on the prowl at GDC.

Apparently Spicy Horse has been working on the project for years, as revealed by the text accompanying some concept artwork from Luis Melo and another artist. Right now they're busy with 'Return of Alice', a direct sequel to PC classic Alice.

"Still no home for this project - but I continue discussing the idea with publishers. One of these days..." wrote American McGee. Check out the two pieces below. Does some mature Little Red Riding Hood hack and slash action sound good to you?

I'm afraid the Japanese-stylised grahics have put me off already. Gave up reading graphic novels (ie. comics) some 30 years ago.

I assumed that was just early concept images, but yea, if not, then I will have lost interest in this game as well.

Even if they're indeed concept images, they are still way too stylised. I'd bet the JRPG element, or Manga has slipped into this one.

Go American McGee - if nothing else, he is a weird one that can actually inspire something new to come.
