Gearbox Software's Borderlands is doing super well for a new IP that launched last October, with Take-Two's CFO saying it's still going.

The RPG shooter has now sold over 2 million copies worldwide, and it "continues to sell well" even today. More DLC is expected for it now.

T2 CEO Ben Feder confirmed that Gearbox would be hammering out more juicy downloadable content after the success of its current DLC line-up. The latest joining the foray has been 'The Secret Armory of General Knoxx'.

Recently developer Gearbox admitted that Aliens: Colonial Marines had suffered a bit because they were so focused and excited about Borderlands, especially when it exploded in popularity - something analyst Michael Pachter said wasn't going to happen.

This news comes from Take-Two's fiscal conference chat with investors.

Okay simmer down now boys and get back to work on Colonial Marines. I passed on Borderlands...the loot & shoot just doesn't do it for me. One day...maybe.
