It seems that Ubisoft got so much feedback from the recent public beta of their WW2 RTS R.U.S.E., that they've decided to postpone the game's release until September.

"Following the massive feedback we got from the community during the Public Beta, we have decided to postpone the release of the final game to September 2010," a RUSE team member said over Facebook.

"While we understand how disappointing this news will be for many, rest assured that this is the best decision for R.U.S.E. and that this extra time will allow us to implement many of your suggestions and improve the multiplayer experience while polishing the overall game."

The list of things they are going to work on includes:

• The multiplayer menus and filters
• The unit selection
• The order assignment
• The unit behaviour and pathfinding
• The strategic AI behaviour
• The anti-lag policy and kick system
• and the game balance of course

It's good to see a developer that's brave enough to stand up and admit that they need more time, but we rather liked R.U.S.E., it will be a shame to have to wait longer for it.

We'll keep you updated.

I tried the beta, and would rule as a 10€ XBL arcade game, but sucks huuuuuuuuuuuuge /snip/ for a "full" 60€ PC game.

This is just looking too suspicious for comfort. The much anticipated Patch 1.2 for Silent Hunter 5 has just had it's release date cancelled as well, using the same reasong listed for RUSE. What's going on in the walled-off labs at Ubisoft is anyon's guess at the moment.
