Sony quiet on Euro update, no news of firmware or Store redesign

The launch of the latest PS3 firmware and the remodelled PlayStation Store will simultaneously go live in Japan on April 15th.

There's been no comment from Sony when European gamers will see their new online shopping mall. Japanese gamers can win vouchers for exploring the new store.

There are 50 vouchers available, each carrying a worth of 3000 JPY. Navigation is the greatest improvement to the store; many were easily lost with the poor design of the current system.

Other updates will probably include better marketing of new games etc through videos, picture slideshows and possibly trail PSN games. Hopefully Sony will start flapping their yap about when Europe can expect to see this new PS Store.

avatar Well considering the Japanese market is open to all PS3 games, including the much loved "JRPG's", it's no wonder they are tesing the waters at home. It will give them a good idea how to tailor the store for Western 'wants' while ...
