Creative Assembly to make Sports Title
Posted: 18.05.2010 12:18 by Comments: 2
It seems strategy powerhouse Creative Assembly is going back to its roots. Their Brisbane studio is apparently working on an "upcoming next-gen sports title", according to a recent job listing.

The Total War developer started life porting old EA Sport games to the PC in the 1990's, so this seems to be a fitting return to form, even if it is with the Australian office.

No further details about the are mentioned in the job ad, but perhaps we'll see an announcement at E3? Stay tuned.

The Brisbane-based group's last title was "M2TW" so this will be a big departure. What a shame. EA owns on the Sports front, so CA why even try? Unless it is a TW-style sports game where you travel the globe on a strategic map, then enter real time to play the game.

Only sport that EA doesn't own is Nascar. Is it possible that Creative Assembly has acquired a Nascar license to make PC/Console Nascar game? If so I am very happy. They are most likely Sport that has been looking for a new Developer/Publisher since they axed the deal with EA. I think its likely.
