EVE Online source code leaked, publisher CCP silencing members

According to a chat transcript included with the torrent file that has become available, an individual attempted to contact a CCP rep regarding this breach.

From other MMO forums the publisher seems quick to censor and even ban members from discussing these developments.

The employee identified only as <[IA]Morpheus> was less than amused.

Other accusations against CCP are leaking the code themselves, whether real or not, and then logging all IPs that start acquiring the torrents and subsequently banning them from official game servers permanently. From the general comments of the EVE community CCP tend to offer a knee-jerk banning reaction anytime something like this occurs.

CCP (or is that CCCP?) really aren't doing themselves any favours by banning and censoring all over the place - so far they're yet to publically acknowledge any such leak of the code.

avatar Always a shame when this happens, hopefully they can seal it up quickly.

avatar As they did with the Syndicate compalints (which proved to be true). This is the second serious problem for CCP (CCCP, that's a good one). If it was CCCP the members would be taken out and shot or sent to Siberia to make popsicles for 20 years: lol.
