It's finally confirmed by Sony that inFamous 2 does exist, and they heap praise on developer Sucker Punch. The "very first details" are this week.

In fact we know some already like how Cole is in a new city, and he goes from 'superhero' to 'super, superhero'. It will be present at Sony's E3.

"I’m very excited to officially announce that Cole MacGrath will be returning exclusively to the PS3," posted SCEA's Wilson Cheng on the US PlayStation.Blog. It was here they advertised the next issue of Gameinformer magazine, which has inFamous 2 on its front cover. "This issue will give the very first details of the game", added Cheng.

"You’ll learn about the new city, new powers and new gameplay." We also learn all the improvements that Sucker Punch has made to the sequel over the original. Hopefully we'll have a little less glitch now and then, like falling through the world.

The first game had Cole MacGrath struggle to understand and begin to master his powers, which are all electrical based, but now he's honing those talents further and will start to pick up some more abilities that are outside electricity.

The look and even the voiceover for Cole has changed with inFamous 2. Sony's E3 conference is on June 15th and it's likely to host some Sucker Punch goodness.

No wonder so many games we buy are never finished. With titles coming out at every turn, and many gamers now busy at beating "Alpha Protocol" the attention is already being diverted to InFamous 2.
Time to light up the night sky yet again with electic bolts. Next we'll probably be seeing "Prototype 2" (aka "End Product"?).
