Ex-EA LA form Haunted Temple

Four former EA LA veterans have left their cosy digs and struck out into the world, forming their own independent Haunted Temple Studios.

Together they've got 34 years experience in the industry, and they have their first title. It's called 'Skulls of the Shogun' and it's for PC and XBLA.

Founder Jake Kazdal has put time in with Sega on Space Channel 5, EA's cancelled Steven Spielberg project LMNO and Zombie Studios' Blacklight: Tango Down. Game designer Borut Pfeifer also touched LMNO, and Scarface: The World is Yours for Radical Entertainment and Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom for Sony Online Entertainment.

Ben Vance was involved with Microsoft's Project Natal, dealing with its new technology and gameplay ideas. Sam Bird is a sound designer with pedigree from Medal of Honor series, Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth and Command & Conquer - all EA.

Let's hope then that all of that experience counts for something when they release 'Skulls of the Shogun', a PC and XBLA turn-based strategy title.

Actually it lloks very interesting and definitely has my attention. Geat to see what these guys are capable of developing now, particularly as they are free from the clutches of the much maligned EALA.
