Mass Effect System Requirements revealed

The official Mass Effect forums have an update from Jay Watamaniuk, community manager of Bioware, which reveals the final minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC Version of Mass Effect.


Minimum System Requirements:
Operating System:
Windows XP or Vista
Processor:
2.4+GHZ Intel or 2.0+GHZ AMD
Memory:
1 Gigabyte Ram (XP)
2 Gigabyte Ram (Vista)
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 6 series(6800GT or better)
ATI 1300XT or better (X1550, X1600 Pro and HD2400 are below minimum system requirements)
Hard Drive Space:
12 Gigabytes
Sound Card:
DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card and drivers

Recommended System Requirements:
Operating System:
Windows XP or Vista
Processor:
2.6+GHZ Intel or 2.4+GHZ AMD
Memory:
2 Gigabyte Ram
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX or higher.
ATI X1800 XL series or higher
Hard Drive Space:
12 Gigabytes
Sound Card:
DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card and drivers – 5.1 sound card recommended


These speculations are fairly moderate, so most of us should be able to run it. How about you, will your machine be able to power Mass Effect?

I'd say "recommended" would equate as "required" when it comes out, as we've all been down this road before. Still think its' going to have problems porting to the PC apart from specs. I'll pass.

Well, aside from the graphic`s card, my PC might even be able to handle it! But I already have it for 360, so theres not much chance I`m gonna bother with the PC version.

I'm wondering if someone can help. I'm running a 2.6ghz dual core with 2gb of ram and running a Nvidia 9500gt hd card, but when i play mass effect the pixels sometimes appear with black and blue dots around the screen. I don't know what's happening, anyone can help?

My new rig is a monster that can destroy these requirements, but I poured hours into my character in the first game on the 360, and I want to bring her into the next one with her psy powers intact. I don't know what to do.
