The popularity tackling between PES and FIFA is a "healthy rivalry," says PES man Jon Murphy. It helps both franchises rise to the challenge.
Last 2 years have been "very difficult" for the team, feeling they had missed the mark each time. This year's PES 2011 "something very different".
"I've said before that I think it's a healthy rivalry," Murphy said, the European PES boss. "Seabass has, over the last couple of days, been talking about a new beginning for PES." Seabass is PES game director Shingo Takasuta.
"The last couple of years have been very difficult for the team. They've not really felt they're getting to be where they want to be. But I would say, without question, that this year you're going to be treated to something very different with PES," continued Murphy.
"In some ways it's a completely different game," he added, "but you don't need to worry as a PES fan: you're still going to love it." Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 releases on Xbox 360, PS3, PS2, PSP, Wii and PC October 25th in Europe. See the E3 2010 trailer below.
