The 'Manager Mode' introduced by FIFA 10 wasn't well received and so EA Sports have ditched it in favour of a new 'Career Mode' instead.

Footballers created in FIFA 11's Creation Centre will be available to manage in Career Mode, which includes leaderboards among friends.

This new mode has been "built from scratch" for FIFA 11. It lets you experience the roles of "a player, player-manager and then a manager." Leaderboards keep tabs on your friends' managed careers so you can compare earnings and stats.

"Players created using the new Creation Centre will be available to download into Career Mode so if you want you and your mates to all be a part of your favourite team and then manage them to ultimate glory, now you can," reveal EA Sports.
