Firefly's Stronghold 3 on PC in early 2011, "incredible leap forward"

Publisher SouthPeak Interactive confirms studio Firefly is still putting Stronghold 3 together brick by brick, and that it'll be out early next year.

The team is "pushing the boundaries" of the series and it has an "exceptionally broad appeal." Recent fiscal troubles are not an issue.

CDV sent bailiffs round knocking on SouthPeak's doors getting back 40,000 games over accusations of non-payment of bills. This hasn't impacted the release of Stronghold 3 however as everything remains on track.

"We believe that Stronghold 3 will be an important growth driver for SouthPeak and that the Stronghold brand will benefit from our proven distribution, sales and marketing expertise."

I had fun with SH2 hope this is as good or better.
And is it me or are those graphics the same? :D (ie: jaggy and not pretty and that granary looks identical to the one from SH2!)

To be honest, the graphics, at least in these shots, look a little disappointing for 2011. However, I've wanted to try this series for a while, so I'll keep an eye on this one.

As long as they return the gameplay to that of the original, tweaked a bit for asier settings (the first two titles, not including SH2 were a bitch) I'll be a happy camper.

But yea, the graphics are a bit...old. Hope they will improve them pre release.
