Publisher SouthPeak Interactive confirms studio Firefly is still putting Stronghold 3 together brick by brick, and that it'll be out early next year.
The team is "pushing the boundaries" of the series and it has an "exceptionally broad appeal." Recent fiscal troubles are not an issue.
CDV sent bailiffs round knocking on SouthPeak's doors getting back 40,000 games over accusations of non-payment of bills. This hasn't impacted the release of Stronghold 3 however as everything remains on track.
"Stronghold 3 is an extremely impressive addition to our continually growing portfolio," said SouthPeak CEO Melanie Mroz. "We believe that Stronghold 3 will be an important growth driver for SouthPeak and that the Stronghold brand will benefit from our proven distribution, sales and marketing expertise."
"FireFly Studios are creating a true masterpiece, pushing the boundaries of what can be expected in this type of game."
"Millions of existing fans are sure to be excited by this incredible leap forward and new fans will be introduced to a game of superior quality and exceptionally broad appeal."
Stronghold 3 releases exclusively on PC in Q1 2011. Are you a fan of the castle building and economy managing strategy series, videogamer?
