EA has announced that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 will be compatible with Microsoft's Kinect, enabling you to cast spells co-operatively with a friend when it releases this November on the Xbox 360.

The game was demoed live at the EA Press Conference by James and Oliver Phelps, who play Fred and George Weasley in the movie. They played as Harry and Ron and showed us how the Kinect device can be used in the game. Expect more footage for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 soon.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 is in development for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

I saw that live demo, looked like fun. Wasn't expecting them to bring out the actors there, was fun. :P Kinect did seem abit slow to respond though imo. ^^

Sounds interesting. But since its a console game theres no way im gonna play it >.<
However i have doubts they will use the high potential of casting spells in this game since its made more for the casual gamer and film fan, thus making it rather easy for sure :(

Kinect support looked great. I wonder how much they paid those actors to do it :)

Must be one of the few games that get good use out of Kinect. Would be good for Move too.

It would be better for Move. And I think it will happen if it doesn't turn out to be a Kinect exclusive. I would like to see some real action in these games (and movies). They have become a bit sluggish lately. Most of the HP movies suck anyway.
