Bioware has just announced at EA's Press Conference that it will be bringing Mass Effect 2 to the PlayStation 3. This is the first time the franchise has made it over to the PlayStation platform.

The game will be released in January 2011. That's all we know at the moment, but expect more information soon.

Is this the news that you've been waiting for PS3 owners?

Well. Mass Effect was at first exclusive to X360, then it came to PC now to PS3. Good work Bioware. Dragon Age 2 is out March 11th 2011 :D That sounds good too :)

When they said they had a special announcement for Mass Effect, many things came through my mind.. Mass Effect 3, the movie, or perhaps more DLC. I was sorely dissapointed.

But it was ok, I was quickly cheered up by the awesome debut trailer of Dragon Age 2. :)

Yeah @Jake I was kind of disappointed with the Mass Effect announcement. It was kinda meh. I was expecting an expansion to be honest. :)

Well I guess at least all platforms get to taste the awesome of Bioware's epic.

Why cant they confirm it for PC? THAT would be good news. Like this its just...meh.

@Gyorn - it already is out on the PC. Both the first and the second game. And all the DLCs as well :)

A drop in graphics will be the first thing I'll expect for the PS3 (and gameplay over graphics doesn't always wash if there are better versions available).

I believe the PC version is the best way to go, because you have the best controls over that kinda game. Maybe the X360 is the best way to go too for those who own both next gen consoles.
