Front Mission Evolved October 8th

Square Enix has announced Front Mission Evolved will release October 8th with pre-order bonus 'Wanzers' on offer from select retailers.

It's a third-person action game set in the Front Mission series, which is a break from its usual turn-based RPG. It's for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

"We’re excited to be releasing this intense new chapter in this classic franchise and invite existing fans and gamers new to the series to enjoy all the action that FRONT MISSION EVOLVED has to offer," said Square Enix's Larry Sparks.

The two pre-order Wanzers are:

Calm: A Wanzer that has long been a part of the FRONT MISSION series. Although its appearance is far from intimidating, this war machine is unmatched in melee combat as well as long-range firefights when equipped with the appropriate weapons.

Rexon: As in previous FRONT MISSION titles, Rexon is a skilled sniper-type Wanzer. Once equipped with a rifle, it becomes a threat to anything that crosses its line of fire.

Square are proud of Front Mission Evolved's "Hollywood style production values" and it's "totally immersive storyline". It's releasing on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC October 8th.

This is so early 90's... I don't know but I'm kind of rejected by the look of these autobots. Too childish for my taste I guess.

Is it me or does Square Enix have a thing for Giant Robots , Fantasy Characther , Giant Chickens and battle Mechs ?

....

they just keep on getting new ideas XD

i see square Enix is yet to get their biggest idea yet , They seem to never fail in games so i will probably play this game too .

Mm, i played mechwarrior 2 and 3 in the past way back in them DOS days. Ok, from the looks of this trailer i'm not convinced they come even close to. I hope the graphics are better than in the movie trailer. Or is it because it is designed for the console platform. Seems bit of a soft story?

Come on, where are the cool games that made pc gaming so great and revolutionary in the first place.

The gfx need to be improved by alot. :P I hope the PC version won't be dumbed down, if it is dumbed down. I won't get it. :P

Indeed, the graphics are kind of...old school.
Not to mention the cheap and weird story. Looks like they wanted to throw in every cheap element they could get their hands on: War, betrayal, love, loosing a friend, the battle main characted vs. the evil guy 1on1...you name it, they got it.
I doubt this game will be too good from what ive seen so far. :(

Looks, well intense. Not really - I don't like it at all. How about they make something new in the genre. This is getting so old.
