Paradox have also revealed they've started work on Crusader Kings II, in response to the "outspoken demand" by the series' fans. Out 2012.

Yeah it's quite a wait for the sequel to conquering Europe and claiming the Holy Land. They pledge "more depth" to characters through agendas.

"The community's outspoken demand for CK2 has been nothing short of incredible,” said Fredrik Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactive.

“Since the game was released in 2004, every single time we've announced a new title we've been barraged with questions as to when we'd finally do a Crusader Kings sequel. So it's with great enthusiasm that we are formally announcing that we've started development on the game." The latest release from Paradox has been Victoria II.

Development on Crusader Kings II won't adversely affect Vicky's sequel though as updates will continue. Paradox are known for their long term support for games and total belief that DRM just causes more trouble than it’s worth.

"Crusader Kings character system is what made it stand apart from any other game released on the market. With this sequel, we are committed to offering even more depth to the characters, making them feel truly alive with agendas and plots of their own,” said Johan Andersson, Head of Development at Paradox Interactive.

Crusader Kings II is scheduled for Q1 2012.

BoneArc, they were on their feet all along ;)
Sure, they had some problems with HoI3 at release, but all their fans know they will fix the problems sooner or later thus not losing hope.
But yea, Victoria 2 is realy playble without any updates. Only thing i would wish for is less aristocrat promotion and more liberals in upperhouse...

Gameplay videos are useful - they make you decide wether you wanna buy the game or not. That is useful to me. :)

Well, theres not much too see. Paradox doesnt use eye candy, they catch you by incredible depth :)
They could only show the map or the menues, battles are just a small screen with numbers ticking by.
Only thing i can think of that would be impressive to watch would be the political map of the whole timespan fast forwarded. Would allow you to see dynasties rise and fall.

I wanna see how things work mainly. You can see the graphics from screenshots. And we all know there are plenty of those out there. Gameplay videos show the final product in all its shine - they are better than Betas, but don't feel as good as demos.

It is very pleasant and nice to see the Paradox coming back in this way. So many good announcements and releases that are constantly coming from this great name. I wish that they never stop releasing lol :) HoI 3 is excellent, and now I just see that the CK2 is announced. Nice!

BTW, Wowerine, if you ever played a Paradox game, than you should know the gameplay. All of their games have the same feeling attached, and the engines of every game are very hard to a common player. It takes some time before you start to love the game made by Paradox. They do make different atmospheres and different games, but they always tend to focus on world domination and global movements throughout the history. Paradox has mastered that part of the gaming world, they just know how to make a good and HIGHLY addictive game :) If you ever wanted to buy a game and be sure that you will play it for months, then believe me, Paradox has my deepest trust.

Paradox gives all their games the same feeling Bosnian ... that is true , but some are more unique than others , based on the gameplay and the FEEL of the game .
its not ALWAYS the same .
