The 3rd episode in the BBC's Doctor Who: The Adventure Games series has been revealed and it will let fans explore and fly the Tardis itself.

It's a "brilliant, brilliant adventure" says executive producer Steven Moffat, calling it a "funny, touching, terrifying, amazing" episode to play.

"TARDIS is a brilliant, brilliant adventure," says Steven Moffat. "It's funny, touching, terrifying, amazing - everything a Doctor Who episode should be. Since 1963, kids have wondered what it would be like to control the TARDIS. Now we're handing complete control of the most powerful ship in all of space and time to a generation of children. Everybody duck!"

The first two episodic adventures have been downloaded over 1.3m times in the UK. The Doctor Who games are entirely free to British residents thanks to the TV license. So what is the 3rd instalment all about?

"With the TARDIS stuck in a riptide, and the Doctor sucked into space, Amy Pond must explore the secrets of the time machine in order to restore normality. The adventure will uncover the secrets of the TARDIS, unveil two brand new monsters - and allow players to pilot the TARDIS themselves," blurbs the press release.

Have you played BBC's Doctor Who: The Adventure Games, videogamer? It releases August 27th and all non-UK residents will have to pay to download it.

Heh. Trying to sell us some TV show based games - we all know how that story ends - in a tragic way. Just what happened to CSI games, a complete disaster. Who would believe that form such a good TV series a such bad game coudl come out.

As long as it's free...

Everyone except the Brits has to pay for it. That is how I understood it anyway.

Everything based off of TV series , Movies is Stupid .... its full of BS because they Dont HIRE the Right people to make the Games ... and you saw the movie , you know what to Expect . not like Call of duty , or DeadSpace , Or GTA , Or even FINAL FANTASY ....... those games have The SURPRISE element .

Don't they evem make movies based on games too? Like Hitman,Kane & Lynch, Farcry...I'm ok with it, at least if they make an excellent movie. An Assasin's Creed Movie or a Half Life one would be kickass!

Movie --> Game = FAIL
game ---> Movie = AWESOME SAUCE .

theres just something about Hollywood ....
you saw how Transformers was a hit as a movie , Originaly a cartoon , BUT a game sucked ..... Hitman owned ,

an assassin's Creed would be awesome ,
even a Halo will own , when they finish it XD

lol yea. Uwe Boll is epic in his own special twisted way :D
The problems with most games based on movies are twofold:
Movies have a story made for like 90 minutes. Its not that easy to extend it to 10+ hours so they insert crap.
Games made from movies are first and foremost there to produce some easy cash by ripping of fanboys. Noone cares for their quality as long as they are bought.

There are exceptions of course, but imho those two reasons screw the bigger part of those games.

So true , Fanboys just get it , they are dissapointed but they still buy the sequel to the game .. its just incredible how Much the industry has control over the Buyers .

Make something that even has a title the same as the game you played and you will buy it, or at least go to the cinema and watch it.

Yeah . Exactly , same with books and Movies , you read the book , you wana see the movie , HONESTLY i saw percy jackson and the olympians and I didnt want to read the first book cause i watched the movie ..... So i went straight for the 2nd book ( which was Not on stock :( )

I think there is magic in TV "Doctor Who". Everytime same in episodes "Run, run" "lets use laser screwdriver" or "Exterminate". It is so childish but i like watch it. Movies are good but I dont have interest in games in this unversum.
