Company of Heroes Online lead designer killed in car accident

Tragic news as developer Relic's Brian R. Wood, lead designer for Company of Heroes Online, has been killed in a car accident North of Seattle.

His car was struck head-on by a 21year-old driver allegedly under the influence of drugs at the time. Wood's 6-month pregnant wife is in hospital.

The tragedy took place Friday night when a Chevy Blazer driven by 21-year old Jordyn B. Weichert struck the front of Wood's car. Weichert was apparently taking her sweater off with a front passenger holding the steering wheel when they lost control.

Brian R. Wood, 33, was killed in the crash while his 6-month pregnant wife survived and is said to be "hospitalized but in improving condition". 2 male passengers in the back of Weichert's vehicle have also been killed. She faces possible homicide charges.

The front seat passenger, 22 year-old Samantha R. Bowling, may also face charges. Our deepest condolences go to Wood's family and friends at Relic Entertainment.

Wow, retarded youth or what? I mean driving, drugs AND changing your sweater on a busy road? How dumb can you be? What's worse is that the 21 Y/O's passenger's (I assume she knew them) are also dead because of hre stupid action, the front seat passenger is pretty dumb to agree to the driver's stupidity aswell, quite depressing :( RIP.

it is sad tyo see despite all the warnings given despite all the time of prevention against drugs is being left ignored Drugs dulls the senses and intelligence also theirs a law that enforces you to go to school for a reason some people really play with their lives because they just don't think what they doo its very sad

his work on Company of heroes was very good i hope people will also learn from his death so that its not at least been in vain
