Keita Takahashi, creator of Katamari and Noby Noby Boy has left Namco Bandai and the industry as a whole, and is currently re-designing a park.

The game designer has finally become so disinterested in videogames development, calling the future after E3 2010 "a bit dull", even with 3D.

"At E3 I saw people putting on speeches but I thought the future seemed a bit dark. The 3D games didn't spark my interest. I think motion control's a bit old now," said Keita Takahashi last month in an interview.

"I make video games for the so-so company Namco Bandai Games Inc," he recently said, although he has now left the publisher. "I am so inefficient I only made 4 games in 11 years." That would be Katamari Damacy, We love Katamari, Noby Noby Boy for PS3 and Noby Noby Boy for iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad.

"Now, I'm participating in a project to re-design an old park in Nottingham, UK."
