Brand new DLC for Mafia II has been announced by 2K Games and it's a story-driven bundle called Joe's Adventures for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

We take the role of Joe Barbaro, Vito's best friend, and are promised a "dramatic storyline" and extra areas for Empire Bay. It's out later this year.

It'll give us "intense arcade-style" action while poor Vito is spending time in the slammer. New areas for the Empire Bay city open up which include a train station , a lakefront and some new buildings. There are new cloths, music and collectibles too.

Optional city-based missions are behind the arcade gameplay with online leaderboards measured through a points-based system based on combos and multipliers. No pricing has been hinted at with Joe's Adventures due out later this year.

Tried it, but just can't quite get into the story. Loved the first MAFIA, but this one is just a little too GTA without the sandbox and side-missions. Seems you have to pay for side quests as DLC:(

Tried the demo and I just can't get into it. Don't like the GTA play-style...
